First off, apologies for missing the last two weekends with special event posts, this hasn’t been a good month for blogging or radio on my part it seems. The battleship Wisconsin, BB-64 final decommissioning special event will be a good catch for anyone interested in historic special events or museum ships on the air. I would also like to thank Kevin, K5KVN for contacting me and asking me to include an event he’ll be participating in – the first ever activation of Horseshoe Island. The callsign GB39RC will be used because this is the 39th Ryder Cup. He’ll be on 40/20/15 and 10, modes will be mostly CW and RTTY.
