The USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) and Carrier Air Wing 3 (CVW-3) are currently training off of the Florida coast.  Normally, I can’t hear much of the activity here in Savannah but yesterday they trained with JSTARS, B-1Bs, and A-10s and I was able to hear some of it.   Listed below are frequencies and callsigns that were heard in use.

339.975 – Asset Tasking

236.725 – A-10 air-to-air

DEATH – A-10, 23rd Wing

RAGIN – F/A-18C, VFA-37
SLAYER – B-1B, 7th BW

There was also activity in the area yesterday from a second JSTARS that was unrelated to the Truman activity.  STARGATE (E-8C, 330 CTS) worked with BLADE flights (F/A-18A+, VMFA-115) from MCAS Beaufort on 376.900 off of the Georgia coast.  STARGATE’s front end was PEACH 31.
