Georgia Ports Warehouse Fire Audio

Some of you may remember the massive warehouse fire at Georgia Ports in Savannah on 8 February 2014.  I wasn’t in town to listen to any of the incident but one of the ham radio operators in Savannah – Paul, KJ4FAV recorded some of the firefighting communications using his Uniden HP-1 scanner and sent me some of the clips that it recorded.  I’ve taken the .wav files from the HP-1 and converted them to .mp3 format and combined them all into one file.  The file is 11:42 minutes long and is composed of clips with time stamps from roughly 1209 to 1234.  Covering approximately a half hour of the fire, it obviously doesn’t come close to covering the entire incident but it will give you and idea of what was going on early in the incident.

Once again, thanks to Paul for sending the clips along.  Hopefully visitors to the blog will find the recording informative.
