NAS Pensacola Road Trip; 14 April 2015 – The National Naval Aviation Museum

Pensacola, FL – Yesterday was a full day spent at the National Naval Aviation Museum at NAS Pensacola. This is an excellent museum, with many restored aircraft inside the buildings and a large number of aircraft at the back of the NAS Pensacola flight line awaiting restoration. Guided tours are offered by the museums, given by retired veterans, many of whom were aviators or air crew, this is an excellent opportunity to learn more about aircraft, the museum, and hear some good sea stories! There are bus tours which take you out to the flight line area to see the aircraft awaiting restoration at various times throughout the day, I highly recommend taking one. Any enthusiast would be hard pressed to take this museum in in just one day, so we’ll be going back again today to see more.
